RadioIndy Review of your "Urban Milo" CD

"Urban Milo" by Dale Denker is a smooth folk album about "life." This is a fun CD. There are several influences that make up Dale's sound. You'll hear a little folk, country, blues and a bit of reggae as well. Dale's voice has a country twang to it, that is very effective on these tracks. His arrangements make sense and nicely complement his clever songwriting. The musicianship is strong throughout. Highlights are "Roeland," with a bit of that reggae vibe and fun lyrics. "No Money" is another fun one very reminiscent of "Stray Cat Strut." "Still Thinkin' About My Drinkin" is a live track and, as you can guess, takes a humorous look at alcoholism. If you like Willie Nelson, you'll enjoy this one.

Dale thinker caught just seven years suffered the jet ear for the hand and discovered that he was a song writer. The state Missouri is for that a favourable floor. The country is there vanouds populated with eenzateDALE THINKER URBAN MILO Internet site Myspace contact CDbaby   Also late vocations can turn out on a successn, armoezaaiers, hitchhikers, guests with a spirits problem, Trash- and barmeisjes. But also with angels and gitaristen, who hanker to their dear or to their jet ear. At least this way in the songwriterwereld of Dale and eleven songs see it, by himself have been defined as a fusion of urban/rural topic ’ s and music. Dale thinker zwalpt gladly between extrêmes. Some songs has real bluesinslag such as ‘ Blue Guitar ’, others incline to country or songs with strong J.J.Cale quality, among other things. in ‘ Count to 5 ’. Drummer Kevin Hoff is also an acquisition, beside all others. On the dynamic ‘ Change the Way You ’ re Livin ’, on which a family member plays harmonica, hear you then Johnny cash ’ rhythms, but also the geflirt with death. Especially gitarist Andy Oxman senses the sfeerwisseling good and puts its accompaniment in service of Dale ’ s warm song, which covers goedgemutst everything with the man mantel of the love. Its separate sense for humour gives frequently double a floor to love relations and characters. On ‘ No Money ’ come that derision up, but on other these are considered more. Itself says Dale that he was influenced Bob Dylan. I hear nevertheless also western influences or Brendan Croker. Even Kris Kristofferson, such as he characters portrays which with their cowboylaarzen rather ‘ weirdo dredge ’ by living, a hiring assassin intervened. Its mix of countryritmes, folk and ballads shows in every way that Dale multi-purpose a muzikant whom on one genre does not want let itself be pinned down, is. And who him would keep then against. I see him preferably reflected in its own songtekst when he sings “ the next time I get me a 5 dollars bill though I ’ m. bying me a set or guitar strings ”. Marcie ROOTSTIME c/o Wanted Productions Freddy Celis Gen. the Wittestraat 11 3545 obtain Belgium   www.rootstime.be www.myspace.com/rootstime

Urban Milo album review

Peter Holmstedt, Swedish DJ:

The new album's been on constant repeat in my CD-player since I received it, and these are my thoughts :

* The brilliant songs  -  Each one is perfectly crafted, and has it's own story to tell.

* The musicianship and production are really "in your face" and so full of life.

* It is really great to hear/see an album where the cover, the songs, the performance really creates a "picture" for the listener.

I really do believe that this music do very well with Scandinavian and/or European audiences,
